The Happy Hornet

It is the year 722 since the Founding of the Province of Aarde. The Province has been at war with the Province of Ijs for seven months, and the once secure town of Valourdown has become the front. The town falls to the invading Ijsian army and their officers take residence in the Mayor's villa. Resistance fighters torch the place in an attempt to kill the enemy brass, but are unsuccessful even though the house burns to the ground. The Happy Hornet Inn, home to a girl named Fleur and her mother Orchid, becomes the new command headquarters, and this is where the story begins.

Recruited by the King's best spy in an effort to get close to the Ijsian Prince Natahn, Fleur must make a choice - her people, or the man she has come to love - the enemy.
